| We left London on May 17th headed for Kathmandu. After a day
in Kathmandu we flew to Lukla, where we begin our trek.
We spent 15 days trekking and had a fabulous time. Some of the highlights were: climbing Kala Pattar (18,000+ ft), meeting Reinhold Messner, crossing the Cho La mountain pass, climbing Gokyo Ri, visiting the monastery at Tengbouche and making it to Everest Base Camp for the golden jubilee. We were very lucky with the weather and the monsoon arrived just as we were leaving. You can check out some of the photos here. |
